Playa de la Arena is a small friendly resort with a pretty black sand beach and ample facilities including bars, restaurants and shops lining the coast. The laid back atmosphere is perfect for families and couples and the ideal base for walking in the Teno Mountains and exploring this part of the island. This stretch of the west coast enjoys the longest hours of sunshine on the island.
The apartment is situated on the 5th floor of a very well maintained complex with great facilities including swimming pools, tennis court, squash court, pool table and lifts to all floors. The beach is only one minute away and there is a good choice of restaurants, friendly bars, a supermarket and green grocers in the local vicinity.
The apartment is very well presented and can comfortably sleep 3 people. The sunny balcony has excellent views of the beach and the neighbouring island of La Gomera. The kitchen is very well equipped for self catering. The comfortable living area has 2 sofas, coffee table, dining seating for three, TV, DVD player, stereo system and a selection of DVD’s and CD’s for your enjoyment. The bedroom has a double bed and there is an additional good quality Z-bed suitable for an adult or child. Other facilities include a washing machine (located in the bathroom) a hair dryer and wireless internet is available from a local supplier for a small fee.
Excursions / Attractions: Coach trips are available locally to Mount Teide, Loro Parque, Santa Cruz, Piramides de Guimar plus much more. The resorts of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos are less than half an hours drive away by taxi, where you will find Siam Park, Jungle Park, Aqualand and Monkey Park.
Getting there: Playa de la Arena is approximately 40 minutes drive from South Tenerife airport. Taxi’s are available immediately outside the arrivals terminal and there is also a shuttle bus service. Car hire is available inside the arrivals area.
